Happy New Year!

Christmas is now in the past...so time to move on to the new year!!!! We are doing great things here in Pacasmayo and we have a lot of plans for this next year! Thank you guys so much for the support! Now I can tell you a little about my week.
First we started off Christmas with an eating competition which was rather fun. I was against Elder males and in front of the entire mission ate half a cake!!! That was so much fun! Later that night I got to talk to my family!!! Which was maybe the best thing to see their faces! So for those of you who don`t know I have the best family in the world, from all of my aunts, grandpas, grandmas, uncles, cousins, parents, and siblings!!! I love them all so much and I`m sorry but they really are the best!!
This week we had two amazing investigadors who are basically our mom`s here. One told us how much she loved us and how much she wished that we would be able to eat turkey for christmas dinner. She is the sweetest ever!! Then we had another investigador burst into tears as we were leaving her home. She was sad because we didn`t get to be with our families for the year and that we had to walk around in church clothes in the hot sun. They really treat us like thier own kids!!!
I love you guys so much and hope you had a wonderful christmas and a happy new year!!! Be safe and don`t let anyone tell you you`re less than a child of God!!!
I love you so much

IT'S CHRISTMAS TIME!!

Hola y Feliz Navidad!!!
I`ve had an awesome week here in peru and I hope you are all having a wonderful christmas too! I love the people down here and even though we don`t have all of the snow...WE have CHRISTMAS LIGHTS!!! It`s awesome to see all of the lights and trees.
So to start off the week I gave myself a haircut... UH OH!!! So it`s a lot shorter than normal, but it actually wasn`t that bad. I`m not a professional. So I look like I joined the military and every one of our investigadors has commented on my hair. It`ll grow back...
I recieved my christmas package and now our room is really festive!!! It`s so awesome!
We got to sing in the choir for hermana marler in trujillo! That was a blast. After the concert the craziest missionary in the mission somehow got a microphone and started singing feliz navidad. Uh oh... We sang with him and it was just a blast!
Also this week we had maybe the best funny experience ever! We were walking down the street with our landry bags and these two kids came running after us screaminig, PAPA NOEL!!! Which is Santa Clause. They took my clothes and I had to grab them and run for our room. It was so funny!!!
This week we get to celebrate the wonderful birth of our saviour Jesus Christ. He is the light of the world and he will save us all if we let him. He is the person with the most influence in the history of this world. He created this world and then after was the great I AM, or Jehova for moses and abraham. After he came and was born to mary, to save us from the sins of this world. Now he is calling again. Come to me and through your faith I`ll make you whole, is what he calls. Remember him this christmas and think of how much he loves you. He`s given you friends and family to be around you. And really he wants to give you eternal life. I know he will give this to you if you ask him and follow him.
Thank you all so much for your love and support! I love yàll so much! You are so amazing. Keep shining bright for the world and tell someone what christmas means to you. I love you guys so much!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! (I can say that because I`m papa noel) Love you guys so much!!!
Nos Vemos

One week closer to Christmas!

Ok so we`re one week closer to the navidad and I`m so excited!!! SO excited that I forgot to say hi to start the email! I love all of you at home and I hope y`all are having a fantastic christmas! Don`t forget to pray for the people here in peru and in other situations that don`t have quite as much as you. Really, they can feel your prayers and I can feel your prayers for them!
Ok so this week started off  interesting when we had 8 prospective investigadors for baptism this month the 26th de deciembre. But after sunday and complications we have about 4 prospective at this point. We`re working really hard with them and I think we can accomplish this awesome goal!! I love them all so much and I know you guys would think that they are just amazing.
One of the coolest experiences this week was the oppurtunity that we had to teach a family. WE taught with the spirit and they really felt it. The mom was just looking at us and she called us the angels!!! That made me pretty happy. I know that the missionary effort is so real and that through the spirit we look different to others. It`s made me think a lot more about the scriptures. Maybe we really do have angels today and we just don`t recognize them in our daily lives. Maybe because they`re just ordinary people we don`t see the help that they`ve really gave us and where they really come from (Heavenly fATHER) Because really there are angels and I know that so many of you are angels in my llife.
As you guys have been having colder and colder weather it`s just been getting hotter here in peru. Man but I have had some prayers answered and the clouds are coming and I`ve been so happy. We`ve been getting some shade. WE`re working so hard with all of the people and we just ask for some more of your prayers. So go out there be an angel for someone and just be HAPPY! It`s really easier. Trust me

A missionary life for me!

Hola muchachos! ¿Como Estan?
Down here in peru we`re having a blast!!! I love the people down here and I think they`re just amazing. Ok so stories!! To start off the week last monday we were walking through a dark field and there were all of these dogs every where!! It was crazy my companion and I had our rocks and were ready to go into combat! And during all of this, we were walking and wham!! A laundry line just about decapitated me. My plauque fell off and yeah. Don`t worry we found it later.
This week we`ve been working really hard and we`ve had a lot of investigadors in the capilla! I think my favorite thing that I`ve done is change the lyrics of songs. To maroon5`s sugar. ¨rosa, por favor, venga a la capilla hoy!¨It`s so much fun! I love the people down here they`re just the best.
So we have two baptismal dates this month! WE`re pretty excited. One of them is a 15 year old boy who is just awesome!! He is so funny and  one of my favorite things is how peaceful he is. He is never down or frustrated. What has happened has happened, is what he told to us this week. AWW, we should have had two baptisms this week, but the parents of the kids said that they have to wait until they are 15 years old. NOOOO! Right now they`re 10 and I won`t be here in a month or two let alone five years. It`s been really hard.
This week we`ve had the oppurtunity to work a lot with RM^s. It`s so cool to work with them. We have two Rm`s in our area and they always love to help. They`re really some of the coolest people on the earth.
This week people have been so nice to us. One of our investigadors called us her angels. And that was so nice. The people down here in Peru are just perfect! I love them all, and it`s hard to watch them struggle. I had the oppurtunity this week to play jump rope with some kids in the street, and that was so much fun. I know I don`t have a white christmas down here in Peru, but I have an awesome christmas!! The christmas lights are all up and I`m so excited for christmas. I love you guys so much!!!

LA NAVIDAD ESTA VENIENDO!!!!

Christmas is coming!!! And I`m so excited. I am so excited for the month of December!!! We get to remember our redeemer`s birth! I`m especially excited to be out here on the lord`s errand this time of year. We have a lot of promising investigators and I think a few baptisms this month too!
This week was awesome and I had my first baptism! It is so cool the joy you experience when you bring souls unto Christ!! I want to bring more to him! It was amazing to have this experience and I am so happy down here.
We`ve had quite the week traveling to Trujillo and other awesome things and so it`s been hard to get lessons in this week, but this next week is relatively normal so we should be back in business in no time!
We were in Trujillo this week for a day with president marler and he really is the coolest man ever! He taught us the perspective of God, which is we are his children. But because we are his children we are future God`s! It is so so amazing when you try and see the world through Heavens Eyes. Everything makes a little more sense.
This week we have started to see grand changes in some of our investigators. This December should be amazing, because we have 4 couples that are working towards marriage, and after baptism!!! Holy cow I`m so excited for this.
I have made it through my first change in the field and nothing really happened. So we will just keep going.
I had a small medical problem this week with a strained muscle in my back, but I`m just fine! It hasn`t affected my work in the slightest!!! I`m so grateful for all of you! I feel your support and prayers everyday, so please don`t stop! They really help.
Now time for some teachings of mama K! Don`t worry about other people when you can only control yourself. If you want to be happy be happy!!! HAHA, I`ve been using my mom`s teachings this week to be more happy and more positive. I hope by the end of the mission I can just always be positive!!!  Thanks again!! I love you guys and can`t wait to email you next week!
Any questions?

HOLA!!

Hola hombres y mujeres!!! Bienbenidos a Pacas Mayo!!!
We had a fantastic week with a lot of success. We had 8 investigators in the chapel and 3 less actives. We`ve been working hard and I have a great email for you guys this week.
To start off we`ve been seeing some great changes in peoples lives! There is one investigator who has told us multiple times that the church is true, and that she wants to change her life. Plus she was in the chapel, so she`s acting on this desire!!! It`s so amazing to view the difference in peoples lives.
This part is such sad news...this week we`ve been working really hard with our investigators that will be baptized this Saturday, but we found one of our investigators drunk in the street the other day...one of the ones that should`ve been baptized this Saturday. That was so hard. We`re struggling a little bit with that, but we`re going to help him get through this challenge! But we do have a baptism this week! SO HORRAY!!!!
HAHA, ok now for some laughs, a couple weeks ago I was in a lesson and made a little language error... Instead of using the word pecado(sin)...I said pescado(Fish). There was a little boy present and he died laughing. Oops! HAHA, also I was asked to be someone`s padrino which is the witness for their wedding. Umm, imagine me in this conversation, but I have no clue what`s going on cause it was about weird titles in spanish. Plus there was a woman saying your blonde hair is so cute. So I was really confused.
Spiritual time!!! This one is the best, we had interviews this week with president marler and He is fantastic. We were talking about God`s mathematics and he told me that it`s hard for us to comprehend. The lord asks of us to give all of our heart. Some people are confused by this and don`t know what they`ll receive in return. He responded and said the lord will give back our heart and so much more!!!! That was so cool. Your heart is the only thing that heavenly father doesn`t have. And if you give it to him he`ll give you everything!

The mission is so wonderful!!! Any questions? I think this is a picture of elder bond!!! If you see this man in the states in a few weeks give him a huge hug!!! He`s one of the asistantes a la presidente!!! He`s the best ever

All you need is LOVE

So I have had an interesting week. We have been having a lot more success this week and it`s been good. We started off with preparing one of our investigators for baptism!!! He is so powerful. It`s nacho and he is awesome, but it`s hard to understand him because he talks like Troy in swamp people, but also in Spanish...But I`ve been able to understand him and that is a blessing.
We had an awesome lesson this week with a menos activo and her family is now interested in the gospel. She is scheduled for a marriage this January with her husband and after her whole family can be baptized. So exciting.
Also we had a powerful lesson with another family and committed one to a baptism on the 28th and one needs a marriage before baptism, but she committed to the marriage. YES! and the last perfect lesson was with another family of investigators and they are just awesome!! The spirit was strong and everyone was crying a little, but then satan came in the form of shoppers...Yep we were about to extend the invitation for baptism and knock knock, and this happened 3 times!!! Why!? We will extend the invitation this week. Oh and last night we had a lesson with the coolest young man ever!! He`s an investigator is 15 years old and is so funny. We`ve been helping him with his faith in Christ and he`s really loving the gospel. He is just perfect. He came with us to church this week and it was quite funny when we passed some members of a different church. He leaned over to me and said quite loudly, they`re part of the false church. It was so funny.
So I have news for you about Peru. They are all very proud to be peruano, everyplace has red and white. They only eat with spoons. They are tiny but probably the toughest people I`ve ever met!! They are crazy! I love Peru! Oh and they are die hard soccer fans even though the team is so so.
Family and friends, keep spreading the love to everyone you can. It`s what heavenly father wants and we can help all of the world! Love you guys, and remember Heavenly father loves you more!!!

HOLA HOLA

Bienbenidos to another week in the life of Elder Wynn! I have made it two months and am goin kinda strong... The mission is the funnest and hardest thing I`ve ever done. But this month should be awesome, we have a baptism and a rescate all lined up!
So last week we were at the beach and I had a wonderful time with my district while at the beach I had the revelation that all I need to do in Life is LOVE! It`s just the perfect way to build the kingdom of god! So Elder Males and I have been working really hard to bring more people to church this week and it payed off. It`s becoming harder and harder to get people to church. But we love em so we`ll keep trying.
We are having a lot of walking time here in PACAS MAYO, because everyone likes to miss our appointments. We have found a lot of good people too who don`t miss our appointments. This week we were talking with a man who told us his story of conversion to christianity. He was a ladron in the past and was crazy, but he`s turned his life around and now he wants to here our lessons. How amazing. Oh, and we have a wedding that`ll happen january!!!! This is very very special. I`m so excited.
This week was very hard on our district as we lost one of the strongest saints to a heart attack. This hermana was just amazing. She was about as tall as me if not taller, but was confined to a wheelchair and blind. She came to church every week to take the sacrament! Holy cow! She passed away and we`ve been helping her family.
I bought an awesome bag today! Peru is awesome.
Love yyou guys!!!
Any questions? Any way I can help you guys?

November 2, 2015

Ok so this week has been an emotional roller coaster!!! The mission is so hard and rewarding at the same time. But I have some awesome stories from this week!
Ok so first is the story of a man we will call Nacho. He cannot read and he talks in the craziest spanish ever!!! This week we visited him and schedueled a baptismal date, but that wasn`t the coolest part. During the lesson we were talking about prophets and I have a picture book with all of the prophets and stories in the scriptures. I handed him the book and he began filing through the pictures. He had heard these stories from the missionaries, but because he can`t read had never had the oppurtunity to read the scriptures. He filed through the pictures and I almost cryed! He got a chance to read his way the stories of jesus, and I explained to him what each picture was. It was amazing.
Also this week we have been visiting lots of families and a ton said they were coming to church! well...not really. That was really hard yesterday to see all of those people not come to church, but I`ll make it.
The people here are so amazing and have such strong testimonies and they are just fantastic! I love them. It`s hard to watch them struggle through their poverty. Our area is in the poorest part of pacas mayo, the hills. It`s all sand and brick walls, many of the houses lack electricity in this area. We also have a wealthy area so the difference is interesting. These people are so humble and are just perfect! I think they are the best. Remember how blessed you are!
I know this gospel is true with all my heart and whenever we feel bad we can turn to the scriptures for peace. Personal study hour is the bomb! I feel the spirit so much. I love all of you guys! Anything I can do for yall?

October 26, 2015

Hola from the city down in Pacasmayo! I am doing just fine. This week I left the CCM for good! YAY. After I met my mission president who reminds me of Elder Christoferson. I love them already. This week I got my new companion Elder Males! He is awesome, 100 percent quechuan from Quito Ecuador! We have been working hard and Have had many miracles happen this week. We had one special person who came up to us and asked us what time church was and showed up to church!!! A miracle. Pacas Mayo is close to the beach and it is pretty warm down here but I am doing fine. My pensionista is a perfect member of the church. She is my Peruvian madre. Oh and elder males has really long hair, that`s cool. The people here have the problem of living together without being married and so we have worked to resolve that, but it`s ok. We had one Menos Activo that said she would be married and later be sealed in the temple! That was a very powerful moment. I love you guys all so so much! The blessings I receive in the mission come from your prayers and I am so grateful. Keep praying for the missionaries and we will keep working to bring the work of salvation. I love all of you guys so so much! You have no Idea. Oh and I love the people of Peru so much! They are so cute and let`s be honest a little little. HAHA, I`ll email you guys next week! Remember to read the scriptures, they're powerful.

I love all of you and I think you guys are amazing. Thank you for all of your prayers and know that I am praying for all of you. This church is true and I'm here to preach it to the wonderful people of trujillo peru. I love all of you guys, remember that.

October 14, 2015

Hola, familia y amigos! Como esta? Como le va?
I am doing fantastic from the southern nation of Peru! I love love
love the people here! They are just perfect! Ok I will start off with
what litterally happened this week along with some of the spiritual
stuff, cause I think you guys just might think it´s cool. SO HERE WE
GO!
We had a meeting with presidente to start off the week as the new Zone
Leaders! It was fantastic! He is a truly wonderful man, I feel the
spirit all the time around him... However he does not smile very much.
Oh and that day my dear amigo was sick and he asked me to give him a
blessing. Oh it was fantastic! I love the mission. After that we
basically had a normal day.
On friday we had classes and our teacher told us some amazing stories.
I can´t wait to be in the field! Basically the same thing happened on
friday, accept our other teacher told us stories.
Domingo was fantastic, I got to once again join that extra meeting
with all of the leadership and report on our zone! They are doing
fantastic.
Monday was very interesting. Mostly because during class my teacher
asked to speak with me and he gave me a challenge. In his
words,´´Elder Wynn, your espanol es bueno, pero it can be mas bueno.
So I challenge you not to speak ingles para the rest of your time in
the CCM.´´ So that is currently going on right now and it´s kind of
hard, but kinda a blessing. He is fantastic!
Martes we had a meeting with elder lezano! He was awesome and he gave
a terrific talk about how his missionary experiences had blessed him.
Fantastic!!!
Ok so now the day where everything happens, P DAY! It has been quite
fantastic! I love the peruvian people. Oh my goodness! This morning
the gardiner came up to us and asked us how much time we had left in
the CCM. When we said one week he was like Oh no elders! He´s been a
real blessing in my life and I smile everytime I see him. Also our bus
driver today had his son in the front seat of the bus and he was the
cutest little thing ever. I´m going to adopt a peruvian baby! He was
so cute and when I shook his hand he didn´t want to let go! LINDO!
that´s cute for all you americanos. The temple was fantastic and I
bought the last of what I needed from the temple store! Oh how great
this life is.
I have some advice for those of you who want to serve a mission. Be
careful and come out when you are ready! Some of the people out here
act like they´re still in high school and it drives me nuts! We are
missionaries and It´s time to start acting like it! So if you want to
come on a mission be prepared to forget your normal life and move on
into the missionary life! That means forget your old bad habbits not
the people you love, Love you MOM and DAD and Family and all of you!
HAHA, And also be prepared to meet missionaries who arn´t quite ready
for the resposibilities of a mission. With great power comes great
responsibility!
I love you all so much like I really mean it! I am so grateful to all
of you and more who have made me into the man I am today!!! I am so so
excited to share this gospel and if any of you have questions about
the gospel I´d love to answer them!!! You guys are truly amazing, I
feel your prayers for the missionaries every day and I think you guys
are truly the driving force behind me and all of us. Keep on sending
love and support! And don´t forget you are amazing!
Hasta lluego

October 7, 2015 Photo of the week... BYU and U of U in Peru ;)

October 7, 2015

Hola! This week was crazy with general conference and other amazing things!
General conference was fantastic! All of the prophets spoke to us and
it was easily the best general conference in my life! My favorite two
talks where back to back! Elder Hales gave one specifically to the
young people and Elder Holland gave one about the mothers love. Oh my
goodness, I miss you mom! That talk was so so beautiful and I am so
grateful for you! The rest of conference was great. I am sad that it´s
over, but I´ll be alright!
Oh and big anouncment! I got released as district leader last weak and
now I´m put in as a zone leader. So a lot more interviews!!! AHHH! I
didn´t even do a good job the first time and they are having me do it
all over again! It´s a wonderful growing oppurtunity for me and I´m
going to work with all my heart might mind and strength!
This week our teacher left the CCM. Hermana Loyza is an amazing woman!
She taught us more espanol that I´ve ever learned. She has been our
investigator kathleen and she will be missed. She is also on vacation
this week in SLC so look out for her all of you Utah people!
The rest of my week consisted of classes and other things that were
fantastic, but you guys would probably find them boring so we will
pass by it. I right everything in my journal mom! You can read it
after. That goes for the rest of you guys to!
Ok let´s get to the good stuff. Today we have been out and about Lima
and we went to a local store and after shopping Elder Babbel and I
Started handing out books of momon! It was awesome. I talked with a
ten year old boy today who when I introduced myself and pointed at my
name tag, pointed at my nametag and said JESUS! He was amazing, but
they were gone to quickly to place a Book of Mormon. NOOOOO! Ok the
next lady we met was a sweet woman who we saw sitting outside the
store! She was wonderful and Elder Babbel placed the book of mormon as
a anti mormon grabbed me swung me around and told me a lot of false
doctrine...yup that´s right. He said joseph smith had forty wives and
that he moved to mexico, because utah was mexico. I was nice and
patient and told him I knew the book of mormon was true. He was not
very happy and told me to learn about the forty women and left... Yeah
that ruined my day a little, but It´s right back on track!
Oh also we met this Former missionary at the store today, he was like
4´10´´ and he spoke english. Oh the people here are wonderful!
So that´s my week! How are you guys? You ok? How´s Utah?
Any questions?

Keaton at the Lima Temple

September 30, 2015

Hola familia y amigos, y bienbenidos a la CCM, PERUUUUU!!!
Hi guys! I´m going into week four and I feel amazing. Last week started off a little slow, but it quickly got better as time went on. It seems like yesterday I was typing this email. As I´ve said before the CCM has a lot of personal experiences and not a ton of real things so please bare with me.
I currently weigh 247 lbs, that´s right I´ve lost 15 and I am lookin good! HAHA, we have class everyday for 7 hours a day and speaking Spanish a lot. I get along with the new group of Latinos that has come in and I´m excited.
I got to see Angie! They showed us a devotional live from the CCM provo, and there she was with the camera right on her! It was amazing to see my cousin. Elder Babbel and I have star talent! We can sing and dance and basically do anything!
Our teacher Hermana louisa leaves this week which is pretty sad, but that´s ok! We will make it. We are teaching lessons and making every moment count in the CCM!
We watched the Funeral of President Scott. It was such a spiritual experience to listen to the words of his son and a few apostles. I love the spirit and I am feeling it so strong in my life. I can´t believe just how fantastic my time has been here in the CCM. So the one day where things happen is P day, so here we go!!!!

We went to the Temple and did our laundry in the morning! It was fantastic and I loved receiving such blessings from attending the temple. Also we went to Tottus again and got some snacks for the week. I love the people here so much, they are all so happy and cheerful. We got on the bus ride to the CCM and that was nice being able to just chill instead of stand on the bus. I was released as district leader SUNDAY! and I´m pretty excited it´s over. That´s pretty much my week so any questions?

Keaton at the Temple

September 23, 2015

This week was kinda boring from your perspective. For me it´s spiritually out of the roof, but kinda boring for you guys. I had class for six to seven hours a day this week. In most of them I was teaching lessons. So instead of telling you all about my boring week I´ll start out by comparing the CCM to Monsters INC:
It´s all about learning how to teach someone the gospel, like scaring. I´m scared to come into contact with any girl no matter how big or how small. We have simulators that show us how good we are at teaching, and basically our only job is teaching the gospel. There are even more comparisons.
Well this week was fantastic we have been teaching the Gospel to our mock investigators Kathleen and Matias. Every lesson is in Spanish so that can be hard at times, but the language comes more and more each day. This week we had to say goodbye to all of the avensaros which was sad, but at least they get to leave this place. I will miss some of them, and be glad that most of them are gone! Elder Hosch left in that group and since he was the one who came and talked to us at night, I´ll have nothing to do for the next couple weeks. The CCM is actually starting to grow on me! It´s hard, but I know that It´s so worth it and that this is where heavenly father wants me to be.
I love the grounds crew here at the CCM. I got to help the Gardiner groom some tall plants since he was about 5´4 and I´m a little taller than that! I love talking to all of them and I can understand most of what they say and that is a miracle. Mostly because there Spanish is not cleanly spoken.
Elder Babbel and I have been getting along and I´m looking forward to our next lesson. Please pray for Elder Babbel´s ankle. We MAY or may not have collided in soccer... He´s completely fine, but it´s still bugging him a little, so please keep him in your prayers. Thank you so much for all of your prayers for me and the missionaries around the world. I promise you we all feel them.
It´s been a wonderful week, but other than working hard on the language there´s nothing much that happened.
Today was by far the most interesting day and we went to the temple, one of my favorite things in the world. Then we went to tottus again. Bought three dollars in groceries and we went home. But our bus left us so we had to hop on the smallest public bus ever. Let´s just say it was crammed full my chin was touching my chest and I was slouched over. Pretty exciting, plus every bus ride is like riding the Indiana Jones ride at DISNEYLAND. But it´s even more fun because there´s cars zoomin past in all directions.
Let me just say I´m grateful for you all and I think of all of you guys on my P days and before I go to bed. Your AMAZING! You better remember that. I hope you guys can all have the blast that I´m having! OH, just remember to make everything more happy in your lives ´it´s your choice KEATON!´ -My mom
Well I´ll have about an hour to respond to your guys emails so bring um in!
PS, I say Elder(JOSH) Robertson here at the CCM today! He is a friend from MV so that was pretty darn exciting. Love you all, be safe in the UNITED STATES. Peru is way better you guys should live down here. Hasta Lluego!

Yay for missionary moms who send you photos!!  I was so excited to get these from Elder Babbel's mom.  Thank you Leslie!

Family Letter 9.16.15

First Official Letter!! September 16, 2015

Hola from LIMA PERU! That´s right I made it safe!
I´m here in the CCM and it´s been a long, but fun week. I said goodbye to my family last Tuesday and I´ve tried not to look back. If any of you guys are considering serving a mission do not quit on the first day. It is long and really hard, but everyday after has been a blessing and has gone be generally fast. After sayin goodbye I hopped on the plane and went to Georgia! We landed and had a total of thirty minutes to get on our next plane in the airport. It was crazy, but we made it! The flight to Lima was forever long, but we made it some how some way. I slept for about thirty minutes on the plane and spent the rest in complete and total silence. It was weird not being able to use the screen in front of me, but the flight passed. As I looked out of the plane window I noticed that we weren´t in Kansas anymore todo. We landed made it through customs without a word and then made it to a hall full of people yelling TAXI!!! A man came up to us and said Elders this way, in the most thick Hispanic accent I´d ever heard. After that and a two hour bus ride we made it to the CCM got there, unpacked and fell asleep at 4.
The next day we woke up at 7. Yup it was soon, but it was well...kinda worth it. We went through a whole bunch of orientations. I almost fell asleep during all of them, but the spirit was there and it was strong. At the end of the day we had a meeting with the WHITE branch. After some emails with the branch president I was named District Leader. Some of you are thinking fun, but no way! It´s hard... I was so tired. OH! and my companion is Elder Babbel! We are so excited and our dad´s are both pediatricians and so forth. Pretty much the same. He is going to SUU to run.
The CCM is all classes. As Hunter Riley states, Spiritual Prison, but it´s actually not that bad. The language is coming along and I am so ready to teach real people...maybe not ready, but excited. We have a mock investigator named Kathleen (Hermana Louisa) and things are going great. We have officially started teaching lessons without notes, a personal decision of elder babbel and I. Also during physical activity I have scored two goals, but who´s counting?
Some inspirations I´ve received from fellow missionaries and the spirit is. Your heart is where your mind is, You must lead with your desire and love, we are truly children of God, and Missionaries are representatives of Jesucristu and Dios.
Oh story time! While learning about body parts an enormous spider jumped on my back. One of the Elders saved me, but we lost the spider. Yup, and its butt was the size of a quarter... I´m so scared of them now.
One relationship that has really grown in the CCM is the one with Elder Hosch(HOASH). He´s about my size we both played left tackle, both are lovin it here, but he is leaving in one week! I know sad. He is amazing he´ll probably be a friend for a long time.
Oh another thing we have made three trips. One to Immigrations which is hard, but I knew just enough spanish to pass, two Interpol! It´s really awkward because you know like a little bit of Spanish, there´s a crucifix in the middle of the square and three CATS! They were so cute little kittens everywhere! Oh and today was P DAY! It was amazing I´ll be focused for another week and I can´t wait. On my goodness the Lima temple is beautiful on the inside! I loved. After we went and picked up some groceries for the week. It cost me five bucks! Well for INCACOLA and detergent and waffle things and hangers. Now our laundry is going and It´s such a fantastic time.
Oh and the advice to all missionaries is true! Make it to Sunday! I love you all and am excited to see your responses.
Any questions you want you may!
ELDER WYNN
