You can´t always get what you want; Unless you go to the temple!

First off the rollin stones where in Lima and so we got to listen to some nice music in the streets of la esperanza. Elder bailey and I are doing great and we are working as hard as we can. 

We have reanimated Alexis to talk with his family so that he can be baptized. He is 17 but he´s completely independent and living on his own. But not 18 yet so we still need permission. He´s amazing and I talked with him this week and asked do you know Joseph smith was a prophet, and he said well yes. So I told him if this is the true church and heavenly father has confirmed to you that it´s true I think you should try to become a member! He said he´s gonna work for it.

We also have Hermana M who is a saint. She wants to return to the church stronger than ever and is assisting institutes and reading every day in the book of mormon every day. We are talking wit
h the bishop so that she can have goals to be rescued. She just wants to be sealed in the temple with her 5 children that would mean everything to her and she´s really working hard in the church. It´s amazing.

One of the most spiritual experiences of my mission this week was talking to one of our new families this week. I was talking with the mom and she held her baby in her arms. I asked her if she´d like to be with her child forever. She just got the biggest smile on her face and said yes. She talked about how happy she would be to have the security that she´d be with her family forever. We then told her about the temple that´s here in hauchaco. Through the priesthood authority there we can be sealed!!! She became a lot more interested and the story continues!

I love you all so much! We are trying to work really hard to get some success here!

Oh boy...

This week has been really hard. Good news, don´t have any parisites and I´m actually starting to gain weight. Bad news, we´ve lost every single investigador or less active that we could´ve saved this week. 2 baptisms and 2 rescues went flying out the window for unknown reasons...the ward told us we aren´t allowed to know all of the details. We are still visiting them and giving them moral support, but this week was so hard!!! Everything we´ve been doing for a few weeks just went flyin out the window. But we had a bright ray of sunshine in it all.

We have an investigador who´s name is helen. Her mother in law is a less active member and they are going to be rescued and baptized. YES! It is amazing. She told us last time that she likes us in her house because she can feel the spirit really strong. She´s amazing. We´ve met with every church orginization and we´ve started a plan with the zone leaders called amos de la vina. You meet with every orginization and they help you rescue less active members in the ward. It´s amazing. Every orginization has picked diferent names and now we´re going to see if it works. We got a new young womens president and she´s awesome. She and her young women brought 3 less active members and an 1 who were all young women. They are really working hard and working with us. Success might just be coming our way!!!

Pics are from a paseo we took the other day. With all the elders from my district and after with Elder McKewan! He left for otuzko in the middle of no where last week so keep him in your prayers.

So good and bad news....maybe

This week we´ve had some good success! We are still working really hard with C-- to see if we can get him permission. He is so amazing. We are still trying and I´m not sure if that rock will ever budge! That´ll be a while. We're hoping he can be baptized this Wednesday and I´m so excited to see what´ll happen.

We have 2 other people that we´re going to rescue this week! One is a mother named M--! She is perfect. We got to know her three weeks ago and she started coming back to church that same week. We just have to teach her a few life changing messages and she´s a member fiel. It was really cool this week when we told her she would be a faithful member! She talked faster then anyone I´ve ever seen or heard. "Puedo entrar el templo!? SI SI SI" (I´ll be able to go into the temple?) For all of you gringos. It was amazing to see her excitement to be a member again. She´s bringing her five kids to church every week too!

Our other rescue is Hermana M--! She is a little on the older side and she fell away about a year ago. But one day we knocked on her door by accident and she was there. She told us she was a member and that she wanted to come back and she´s been coming to every activity and church service since! It´s amazing to see the change the gospel brings in the life of people.

Sooo... After loosing a ton of weight as you all have commented, I´m going into the doctor! Finally. I´ll know what´s wrong with me today or if nothing is wrong... We´ll see. So maybe bad news ;) Cross your fingers.

Cambios...

So zone leaders are mean... We got the phone call last night and it said, Elder Wynn you are going to juamachuco!!! WHAT!!!??? It`s out in the middle of nowhere and is basically like the emporers new groove! And then we got a call five minutes later. Yea...elder wynn you`re staying. I lied! Click... Oh my goodness!

So I`m so happy to stay here in bellavista. So we are working with one of the young men cristhian to try and help him be baptized! He is amazing and he`s going to ask his mom if he can be baptized this week. We`re going to see what tender mercies the lord can do!

I`ve been fantastic this week, I`m totally fine and doing great! My bag is still nowhere to be seen but that`s ok! I love you all so much! You are all so amazing. Thank you for the love and support I get in these emails, cause I need em!!!

We have kept the assistance in the church at more than 100 for two weeks and it was down in the 80`s when I got here. We finally have member support and should start to have success. We have a young man named Alexis who asked us to visit him. We contacted him through the bishop and he is so amazing. The other day he testified that he knew the gospel was true, to his mother and little sister. He said he wants to be baptized and we`re helping him prepare. But the members arn`t helping him get to church and it`s really frustrating!!! So we are still working with him.

I finished the book of alma and I got to read all about captain moroni!!! It was amazing. I want to be more like him and work with the lord to do great good here. Elder Bailey and I are trying to change some of our plans so that we have more success. I hope it`s what heavenly father wants for us to have success!!!

I love you all so much!!! Remember that everything is ok! We can all be saved through the name of our saviour Jesus Christ. If we repent through him we can be cleared of all our bad feelings and guilt! So just do it! Just repent and come unto him.

LOVE YOU!!!!

So I don`t have a ton of time!!! This week was crazy. Yesterday I had splits with someone a little older than me who looks like mr burns from the simpsons... It was a little wierd. He would just kinda laugh and look at me funny and say you are very powerful. A little creepy. When I was with him a group of 50 year old plus ladies started flirting with me. That was even wierder!!! But I`m alive and I`m back with the amazing Elder Bailey.

We have brought the asistance back up to 111 in our ward. That`s huge because we havn`t had that for 4 months!!! We are continuting to push and get higher numbers! I love this area we have the best people:

We rescued a young man this week who is so amazing. I love these people so much! He is just perfect. He is very tall for a peruano and he has hands a little bigger than mine! We are currently eating/Pensioning at his house because our pension went out of town.

The last thing that happened was I got robbed! Yup it`s the first time. We were moving the sisters we put our bags down and bam!!! It was gone in 5 minutes... Oh my goodness, he only took my bag out of like 10 bags sittin there! But I`m ok. It didn`t have anything to important in there.

I love you guys so much! I know that heavenly father loves you more and wants everything for you guys. Be safe and do what`s right!!!!

I know this church is true, and that jesus christ is at the helm. He has us all in his arms and we are all safe!!! Don`t ever forget that he loves you! Stay positive no matter what happens, it really helps and you can`t change the past! If some guy comes and takes your bag, there is nothing you can do, so don`t worry be happy!!! I love you all so much!! What else do you wanna hear?

Life Lessons

Hola!!! So I have a few lessons for you guys!!!

1. Don`t leave your camera with the zone leaders...

So last P day we went on a beautiful hike and then after I forgot my camera in Elder Cowley`s backpack... Uh oh. The pictures at the bottom are of my amazing zone leaders! :) I love them so much.

2. Our way is not always the Lord`s way... And YES! He has a plan. :)

So if any of you didn`t konw our heavenly father loves us! He really does have a plan for us and for all of you! Just put your trust in him. So we have been focusing in one of the young men trying to get his permission to be baptized, but we should`ve been teaching his whole family and baptizing all of them!!! It`s a simple message, but try and look through heavens eyes. Cause really heavenly fathers plan is so so good for us. I don`t know why we wouldn`t choose it.

3. Be Humble...and confident

In this life we need to be humble! But really we also need to be confident! It`s like in Alma when ammon is talking to his brothers after their mission amoungst the lamanites, "if it is boasting I will boast in my God." I love it. We need to recognize that yes we might not be able to do a lot alone, but with heavenly father, we have it!!! We can do anything and nothing is impossible. I mean we are talking about the guy who split open the ocean and helped the israelites walk through on dry ground! Just do it! Pray and be confident in your God. But remember that God can teach you through any person or thing, so you have to pay attention and be humble. It`s a hard balance, I`ll be working on it the rest of my life.

Well fun fact about Bellavista, there are more cocroches here. We have killed many now. They are really gross...

Ok so Backup has arrived and my moma came through!!! The eagles are coming! I got my package this week with many useful items such as ductape and protien powder! Life is getting better here!!! But we still lack unity with the ward so that`s where we are working!

Hola!!! I love all of you so much. I have had a wonderful week here in the bellavista and we are working super hard. For those of you who don´t know bellavista means beautiful view! I love it and it really does have a pretty view of the ocean.

We´ve had a few miracles this week especially with our two awesome men that are going to be baptized soon. One of them had his baptismal interview and he passed with flying colors and told Elder Cowley(The leader giving the interview) That he wants to serve a mission like us!!! But then something aweful happened!!! Elder Cowley came out of the room and was just saying, She does not want to sign that paper!! His mom wouldn´t sign the paper and give him permission. We are working super hard right now with her so that she can give him permission to be baptized this month. With our other champ we had a miracle. His father who wouldn´t give us permission just said Ok, my son can be baptized. YES!!! So in the first two weeks of febuary we could have these two young men be baptized!!!

I had an interchange with Elder Cowley this week who is one of our zone leaders!!! He´s amazing,  and guess what Taylor Walker and Chris Wynn? We have a new member to the birthday club!!! Yes he has the same birthday as me and it´s just an amazing day to be born! It was so amazing to be with him and I learned so much! He´s such an amazing missionary. He´s from cali with blond hair and he talks really fast in English or Spanish!!!
