Good things happening

Hola! Family and friends, it´s been a great week to be here. We had the oppurtunity to go to a place named San Pedro de Lloc and take food and clothes for people affected in the floods. The Church has organized some amazing things here thanks to some Great YSA leaders. 

We are doing great, and it looks like the rains are starting to stop. Everything looks like it will work out great! We had an amazing lesson with a sister named Maribel. She has been an investigador for a long time, but something really special happend saturday. We were there sharing a little message, and we decided to ask, what can we do to get rid of your fear? She looked at us and responded well, I need to be baptized to recieve the holy gohst. She was so happy when she said it that my companion and i couldn´t believe it! She is having some health problems and has to be in bed rest, but she commited to read the Scriptures every day this week :)

We also had a family recieve their answer that the book of mormon is true! And they have some great desires to be baptized!! Also Susana was pretty afected by the floods, but this april she should be baptized! ;) It´s been amazing to see these miracles, and we´re seeing more with the time!

I love you all so much! I hope everything is going great in the states, and in other parts of the world. Never forget to let your light shine, and keep oil in your lamp through the scriptures and prayer! Have an amazing week!

Attitude ;)

Before anyone asks, I am healther, I´m eating, and I´m doing ok! ;) Haha, It´s hard to see this kind of destruction, but I know that Heavenly Father has everything under control!!! He is at the helm! I´ve learned a lot recently just about happiness. A lot of times the missionaries and people are a bit more serious, and afraid with what´s going on in Perú. But I know Heavenly Father wants us all to be happy and to be a light. We were in the room yesterday with some Elders whos room flooded, and I felt pretty stressed out. We see the news in a lot of houses where we go, and everyone has been very sad! But as i walked back an impression came to my heart saying, you will be able to feel the atonement. I said a prayer and when we were with the other elders we began to sing a few songs, in our room. This gospel is here to give peace to every soul. Everyone who needs peace shall find, and everything will be ok!!! As a great friend taught me our attitude is what counts! We can´t control nature, or other people, but we can control ourselves and our attitudes! I love you all with all my heart, and I hope you can send some prayers down here to perú! We love them! ´My peace I leave you!´ When we are stressed about the moment just think about the huge and marvelous plan that our Father has in store for us. Everything will be ok, because Christ has paid the price for every injustice we will suffer! :)

Love you all so much. Keep a smile on your face, and never forget about the perfect Plan he has for you! You´re all so special to him, and he only wants us to be happy. You are all his children, and you are all amazing! If you could see what God sees you would be shocked in your divine potential. Sounds a little nerdy ;) But it´s so true! Love you all with all my heart!

God Blesses Families!

Hola! ;) Que tal? Estamos aquí en la costa de Guadalupe y estamos teniendo un gran tiempo ;) Haha, how are all of you doing? Just a small, warning that it´s possible that one of these days I write a spanish email. I´m slowly loosing my english so that could be fun! I sure love all of you so much! Here´s a little bit about my week:

We have been working so much with Suzana. She had some doubts with some of the classes being a little crazy. She was having problems understanding doctrine and covenants and the temples. But we just invited her to pray and ask God if Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. She prayed and she felt peace begin to enter into her heart! She knows the church is true and she wants to be baptized! :) It was amazing and we´re working hard to see if we can wrap up these other doubts that she has this week.

We also found a beautiful family, the family Campos. They are a little bit poorer than a lot of people here in Guadalupe. They´re going through some financial problems, so when I was studying I thought I´d share that our gospel and the message we bring blesses families. But God decided to teach the lesson first! We came back and someone had brought them food. Their daughter had been sick and didn´t want to eat but she started to eat again. Her son is young and doing some crazy things, but he was home the next time we came! The mother had been stressed about so many things, but she felt peace in her soul when we visited. She said such a beautiful prayer when we left and she and her two daughters came to church and promised to come the next week! It was amazing to see God´s hand blessing this humble little family!

The Gospel is perfect!! And it will always bless our families. It will help all of us to continue onward in hard trials and give us peace that we can´t comprehend. I love you all so much!! Just listen!

This week has been really crazy! I hope your weeks have been exciting ;) 

To start off I went on my 2nd interchange here in the area and it´s been a little wierd, because I don´t know the area that well! I was with an Elder in his training named Elder Moncada, and we took off to see what would happen! We were having a great day and finishing up a lesson with an amazing family, when I had the impression that we should give the mother a blessing...´they are just starting to listen to us, and I don´t want to wierd them out...´was the thought that came to mind. But I asked if we could give her a blessing. She said yes, and began to cry when Elder Moncada put his hands over her head and began to speak. She felt amazing! We went walking in the night and the appointments began to fall through. So we stopped, said a prayer, and my companion said, I feel peacful...we´re going to find a family. We went walking down the road and we saw some people sitting outside of there house we went sat down with them and began to talk. The family accepted us and asked us to come back to explain more!!! It was an amazing day.

Elder Moncada is very special, because I was on my mission the 8th of september, and he met the missionaries the 30th of september! He has less time as a member than I do as a missionary. But he has a huge testimony and he wants to work!

Elder Cantos is so amazing too! We´ve had such an amazing time together. We call him the MONKEY, because he´s from equador and they eat lots of bananas. Haha ;) He´s a great leader, and he loves everyone he meets. It´s been amazing to see that in the lessons with Susana she has a lot of questions. But when we sit and listen to her, we have been able to help her with every one of her doubts! It´s amazing if we just take the time to listen, others will want to listen to us!
