My testimony

Well to keep it short and sweet, ana melva and jefferson were baptized! They are happy and everything looks to be going great. This is the coolest, most wonderful, funnest, hardest, saddest, joyful(est;), and everything on top! I´ve been too blessed in my mission and in my life I love all of you so much! Y nos veremos pronto... It still doesn´t register in my heart even though my head and mind say that it´s time to go. But all will be well.

I know that we have a heavenly Father who is always looking out for us and trying to help us come home. He knew it wouldn´t be easy, so he sent his beloved son Jesus Christ. our savior and redeemer. He is the only being that has walked amongst us who has shown that perfect love that our heavenly Father has for us. Even when he was spat upon, mocked, and beaten he never even thought a bad thing or had a bad feeling. It´s thanks to him that each and every one of us can become free of our sins and free from death! If we follow his example he has promised us that one day we will make it to his presence.
In 1820, our Father and Savior called a young man of 14 years to be a prophet and to save his children. He showed him many great and wonderful things helping us to have what we now know as the book of mormon. I know it´s true, and I know that Joseph Smith was truly a prophet of God calling all men to come unto him. If any of you doubt one of these things, you can do as did joseph, and ask of God! He will respond to all of your questions through the power of the holy Ghost!

I love you all so much! Have a great week!

Montoya!!!

It`s been an amazing week and we`ve seen miracles left and right. It`s been a pretty stressful time, and usually the stress doesn`t get to me, but recently it`s hit me pretty hard. I know these new changes will be good, so I hope I`m prepared!
We had an amazing conference with Elder Montoya and he helped us out so much in so many things. He told a lot of stories and used a lot of talks that I had heard from Jeffery R Holland. He testified of our Savior and his atonement, but made a special focus after on the restoration and the Prophet Joseph Smith! The spirit testified so strong that he was a prophet of God and that he had done the will of our Father. He`s a true modern day hero and gave his life for this great work. He read the first vision and when he got to the part where Joseph says, `I saw a pillar of light...` A sister be gan to play`Praise to the man` on the piano and  the room filled with the spirit! He also had all of us who where finishing stand up looked us in the eyes and told us that when we go home we remember that the mission life is real life, and that we must never let go of the iron rod and that we need to continue participating of the fruit from the tree of life! I am going to do all it takes to feel that same spirit!
Ricardo has been coming out of these hard times and so we decided to talk to him about permission for jefferson`s baptism. He told us that yes, and then we had the oppurtunity to help him with some other things. I was able to share the conversion story of my dear mother! I know that it`s the true gospel and I know that many of these people won`t be baptized while I`m not here. But I`m so excited to see in these next months the people who recieve wonderful blessings being baptized or going to the temple. I know that God`s time is not our time. And he always looks at the generations! He is perfect and he loves us so much! I know that all will be ok! Love you all so much!

Sealing and Joy!

So I know it´s no secret how much time I have left... and I know there are only a few emails more, so I hope I can send some good ones ;) And... It´s been a time of thinking about the mission and what´s happened. And this sunday we had an amazing training listening to Quinten L. Cook and some other general authorities. After the meeting I wanted to run and see some of my investigadors from Pacasmayo when a man stopped me that I almost didn´t recognize. In my last week in Pacasmayo we had taught him all the lessons and his name was marco. Marco had been inavtive for 30 years. His wife magnolia had been baptized 14 years ago and she has fought so that one day they could go to the temple. Marco gave me the biggest hug looked me in the eye and said thank you! Yesterday (saturday) I was sealed to my wife and children in the temple!!! Thank you Elder! Later I saw his wife and she said, I want to hug you!!!! But for now I can´t... So my husband will hug you for me ;) Haha, It was a big surprise. They were so happy and magnolia told me, if my family can do it and change, any family can!
We have had some struggles with the familia Rojas. Ricardo has been going through some hard times and has decided to not come to church! His son however will be baptized this month and so will Ana Melva, another investigador. It hurts to see him make that choice, but I know he´ll come home one day. I have been absolutley shocked with how much some people are changed just by our love. Sadly the Lord´s time in there change isn´t usually so we can see it, but after time they realize what they should do. As a missionary and as members we have oppurtunities to invite these people to come home and be in the precense of God their father! Those who accept this message will have so much joy!
I was pondering on a lot of my hard experiences during my mission, and to be honest there have been a lot of times where I have said, I can´t go any further... I give up! And it´s rough a lot of the things we go through, but looking back now I feel something different! I know that the lord was preparing me so that I could have the most wonderful and beautiful experiences in this world. and I know that there will be many more. The mission prepares us for all of lifes challenges, and when we look back all of those moments are absorbed in the joy of the lives of others! Thanks to these two years we save ourselves, and so many more. I know that this message is true, and it´s the only way to feel happiness in this world. It´s because it is the Gospel of our savior Jesus Christ, and he is the only man that lived here on earth, that dedicated everything to saving us. He loves us and wants us to come home and feel the same joy that he has! I love you all so much and I hope you can feel his love! You are all so amazing! Thank you for your love and prayers!

The Temple!

So it´s no secret! We went to the temple today as a zone!!! ;) It was a beatiful experience and it´s been the first time in over a year since I´ve gone! I just got to sit their and enjoy that peace and happiness. Met the owner of Eagle Condor who was going to do a sesion as well and a few people from Cajamarca were there! I loved it and we could just feel that amzing spirit saying that these things are true!
Well, this week while we were at church Jefferson from the familia rojas told us that he wanted to be baptized and he had picked his own date for the 20th of august! The family is progressing a lot and we are seeing lots and lots of miracles, I know that God truly looks for ways to bless us and make us happy. A thought that came to my mind this week was that we should just accept God´s will, becuse he knows of each and every one of our needs! He wants us to become like him, so follow him! Haha, It´s been something that I´ve had to learn a lot here on the missoin, but I know God has helped me to become someone  lot better than who I was!
Ana Melva is an amazing investigador that has accepted a date for two weeks from now! She´s super excited and reading her book of mormon, It´ll be awesome to be able to see her get baptized.
I hope you all know that God loves us so much. He´s a perfect being and he knows us through and through, Some days we might think that our trials are too much, but if we could just see through God´s eyes we would only realize that he is that much more perfect for giving us challenges. They help us grow and become more like him. I hope you all have such an amazing week! I love you all so much!

Coming in hot!

Well it´s been an amazing week! We have a crazy month ahead of us. So that you all know next week I´ll be writing on Tuesday! We´re going to the temple!!!I can´t believe how fast time goes, and we´re not going to wait a second!
With the familia Rojas we´ve been fighting for them to read. They´re coming to church every week and they´re seeing more and more miracles. The father looked at us at one point and began to ask questions such as, why doesn´t the church mention mary? Why don´t woman hold the priesthood? We responded with the book of mormon in 1 nephi 11 for mary and we explained the priesthood later. After sharing that experience from the book of mormon I saw a change in him. The next time we went, he answered the door and told us, well my wife and i have been talking a lot thinking about you two and the changes in our lives, and we think we need to read the book of mormn more! We havn´t put in all of our efforts and we want to do better!!! From tommorrow on we promise to read more and search for an answer to know if the church is true. I was so happy to see that change and I thought of how much the Lord can help us grow. And we can help others grow, but only if we love them. If the people feel that we are interested in their lives and questions, they will progress more! It was a huge miracle!
And we knocked on a door to find a family of adventists... Haha, we had an intense lesson testifying of Joseph Smith and the book of mormon. It was pretty intense. They wanted to convert us and we wanted to help them. They told us at one point, we´ll convert you or you´ll convert us! Haha, so we´ll see what happens. We´re excited and we think some big miracles are coming up! I love you all so much and I hope you all have a great week!

It takes a village!

I´m 20 years old...wow, that´s wierd. Haha, well, I have recieved so much love and support today that I´m not sure what to do. As I´ve been writing a lot of these, I´ve had a lot of amazing memories from before the mission. And I justed wanted to say thank you to all of you!!! It´s a famous saying that it take a village to raise a child and I feel like I definitly needed that! Reading your emails, I´ve felt like I´m writing a lot of moms, dads, brothers and sisters and each one of you has taught me so much. Thank you all for you love prayrs, and for everything you´ve done to make me who I am today! I love you all. And I feel like you´re all family! THank you!!!
Well, I entered into my last change... I´m staying here!!!! :) I´ll finish the mission in guadalupe and I´ll have the oppurtunity to finish with Eldre Angulo D´León! It´s a bit wierd, I don´t feel like the adventure could come to an end. And I am still super imperfect, but I´m so grateful for who God has made me!!! The mission is the best exprience that has ever passed my life.
This week maribel was baptized and conifirmed member of the church of jesus christ of latter day saints! :) She is 7 months pregnant so we had to fill the baptizmal found with boiling water from the stove top to try and heat everything up!!! It was an amazing time, and she bore a beautiful testimony. They are pretty excited for the temple in a year. I´m so sure that God does everything, and we just watch. It´s so amazing!
We also had an activity were every return missionary put on their nametag and we had a devotional. It was the most amazing fireside I´ve seen. We have been filming their storis for the last few weeks. And the night befor the activity we weren´t able to find a man named Juan Sanchez to share some stories. He´s currently less active. and doesn´t have much comunication. But out of nowhere Presidente Licera Called us and told us, I´ve got em here! Come running!!! We went and sure enough the two were there talking about Juan´s mission. We explained the intrview and it was really hard at first for him to talk, but he picked up the rythm and told us some amazing stories. The next day he came to church and whn he came to the fireside, he bore a powerful testimony! He said that he had dreamed of being in the church, and that it was time to change his life and come home! A wonderful week.
I love you all so much, and I hope that you are all doing great. I really know that God has a plan, and he always find a way for everything to work out. I hope you all have a great week!!!
