Down by the BAY ;) Bellavista

Hola!!! I`m doing fantastic down here. Life is so wonderful and I`m loving my companion and the people of bellavista! We have been working so hard this week! I am so happy and at the same time so tired! I just love the mission, it`s so much to handle, but then Heavenly Father is there and he`s got our back! I can really see his hand in all of the things that we do and all of the work that he performs for his children! It`s so amazing.
So first I have a story to share: There was a soldier who went to go talk to his commanding officer about a friend who had not returned from the field of battle. `sir! permision to enter the battle field and search for my comrad`. `permission denied!` said the commanding officer. Disobeying his commanding officer he went back into the battle field to look for his friend. He found his friend alive, but unable to walk. He ran up to him and his friend said, `I`ve been waiting for you, I knew you would come.´ I love this story! Our true friends will always return for us and save us after the roughest battles we`ve had in life. I have been so blessed to have friends and family like all of you! THANK YOU!!! (Historia de Hermano Lucho)
We have the oppurtunity to have 2 baptisms and a rescate in the next two weeks and that`s really motivated us. We`re out here saving our brothers and sisters! Our baptismal canidates are two young men. One has been coming for church for two years but his father just hasn`t given him permission! It`s so frustrating! He`s really controlling and literaly takes his son on vacations so that he can`t come to activities. We schedueled his baptismal interview and the father took him on a trip an hour before we had schedueled it!!! AHHHHH!!! That made my companion and I go crazy.
Our second canidate is so amazing! He`s been listening to the lessons and knows that the church is so true! He`s fifteen and he`s a little, or maybe really, rebelious. It`s been causing some problems with his mom and we are helping her know the church is true, helping them grow closer together, and helping him get baptized. I really see a lot of myself in him! I remember when my mom had to sit me down and tell me `Keaton!!! We are on the same team`. Thank you so much mom. You didn`t know that moment would be mission prep, but you knew how important our unity was.
Our possible rescate is a 20 year old who wants to go on his mission! He is taking piano lessons so that he can play in the sacrament meeting! Holy cow I think that he`s the best in the world! He has been working with us almost every day to accomplish his goal!
I love the people of Bellavista, they are so humble and kind. They do everything to try and follow the comandments!!! They really are some of the best people in the world!!! We have an awesome Ward mission leader. He served his mission in brazil and is about 31. He`s not married yet, but he`s fantastic! I know he still has hope, cause it took mi papi until 33 years to get hitched. HAHA, He`s so amazing!!!
I love you guys so much!!!

It says you`ll always be in our hearts on the back and on the bottom is a message to me!! I love it so much and it helps me remember my first perfect area pacasmayo. This also is really special to me, because my amazing cousin Christopher (Chris) Wynn has always called me the white seal. Thank you so much Chris!!! It's Bellavista.... oops!

Hola familia y amigos! How are you guys this week? I`m doing great and I`ve moved down to the Bellavista and I`m having a wonderful time! We had to say goodbye to all of our investigadors and friends in Pacasmayo, but the people here in Bellavista have really been wonderful to me! All the members are so amazing down here and I`m ready to continue the Lord`s work!

I have a new companion and his name is Elder Bailey! He really is amazing. He has a year and a half in the mission and is ready to go to work. He`s about 5 3, and he can make a lot of animal noises. He really likes to bark through the windows to startle investigadors. He is a blast! He`s from payson, UT, and was originally in the Chiclayo mission.

We had an alma rescatada this week which means we reactivated someone this week and have been working raelly hard with the missionaries. We have an awesome zone leader who always says love em like your girlfriend! He is amazing. Our zone leaders are the perfect examples of loving the people!
I`m fantastic and can`t wait to write you guys. Questions?

NOOOOO!!!

I don`t even know what is a b la vista (Bay la veesta). I don`t wanna leave pacasmayo!!! So this week our area was closed so that two older missionaries could come to our area. It`s the worst feeling in the world to have your area closed. We are moving our of our room and tomorrow there won`t be missionaries in our part of pacasmayo.
b la vista is my next area and I`m kinda excited, but I really don`t want to leave pacasmayo. I will have a gringo companion: Elder Bailey. I am pretty excited to meet him.
I don`t know what else to say. It`s awful to close areas! We said goodbye to everyone yesterday. I`m going to miss Pacasmayo so bad, but I`m going to come back one day! So anyone who wants to come is welcome!
I love all of you! And I`m safe. Questions?

HERE WE GO!!

So I`m doing fantastic here in pacasmayo. We have a new ward mission leader who is a RM from guatamala! He`s amazing and he`s really helping us to retain members in the ward. That`s our job here is retention. We have 839 members here and 100 attend church every week. So we are really working hard with less active members to bring them to the church again!!!

I wanted to talk to you guys today about some of the best people on the earth:Our MOMS!!! They really are angels sent down from heaven and I think that they are just the best. This week we sat down to eat dinner at our pension and the son of our pension (a little drunk) began to talk to us. He began to tell us how one day he would become a member of the church, and that he would do great good. He said, I am so good...And I know because my mom has always told me. I almost cried in that moment because his mother, our pension, was sitting there with us. She is a saint and has always raised her kids saying, you are the best, you are a leader, you are strong. MOM you are the best! I love you so much!!! And to prove this point you can all read , Behold Thy Mother, Jeffery R Holland. It`s beautiful and defines a mothers love as the closest thing to the love of christ!!! So thank you to all of you wonderful mom`s who have charity! You guys are the best and WE LOVE YOU!!!

This week we also got to break into our investigadors house, because they locked themselves out. We were with the ward mission leader and I boosted him over a wall and we got into the house!! It was awesome, a real adventure.

Also HAPPY NEW YEARS. I love all of you guys so much and I hope you have goals set for this year. I get to be a missionary all of this year and I am so excited! I`m just going to keep working with the saviour in bringing souls to him. This really is a marvolous work and a wonder!!!

I love you guys so much! Don`t forget to love everyone. The easiest way to do that is just remember that all of us are brothers and sisters and all of us have a wonderful heavenly father, so the next time your mad at someone try and look at them through the eyes of heavenly father, or their mother. It`s really helped me.

We had the lights go out this week at night in all of pacasmayo, we got to teach lessons by candle light and use my flash light in the dark streets. It was so cool!!! I love the people down here so much and I just know that they are amazing. I know that this is the place for me.

Love you guys
Chou!!!
